SAVE not working on Excel or Word

I just downloaded and installed Office 2021 on my computer. I noticed that the SAVE button on Excel and Word. are not saving. I can hit it two or three times. I also notice that the UNDO arrow at the top of the page (which is dark grey). If I hit that arrow my entries are removed. Help, Mike
