  • Help!! Reading 2 Floppy Drives

    Hello tweaktown,
I am running an old Compaq Deskpro ep series Pc. And when i connect the ONE floppy drive to the m/b and I check the Bios, it reads 2. I'm Running winxp pro
and under "My Computer" it shows Floppy Drive A and Floppy Drive B. Yet when I try to use either of them I get an error message saying Insert Disk into Drive. Also the floppy working light won't go off. If you can help fix it then let me know or tell me Please its driving me crazy. I can't update bios without the drive. I have also tryed changing cables, drives ect.. Nothing Changes..

    Thanks in advance.

That almost always indicates the cable is upside down.

It is either still not connected properly or you have a faulty cable.
