A7N8X-E Deluxe & SATA

Please help, I've just got a 74gig raptor to replace my ide drive.
My silcon controller is working cos it picks that and my other sata drive up in windows.
But the problem is when i install windows on either sata drive it gives me a BSOD when it boots back up to set up XP. (it copies all the files acros ok)
0X00000007B is the error in the BSOD.
I have the latest bios for the board and the latest drivers for the sata controller.

I am having the exact same problem with my A7N8X Deluxe if anyone can please advise.

set sata boot to (scsi, sata) then primary boot to (floppy) and secondary boot to (scsi) in bios.
