I know I'm missing something.......

Ok just :snip: , I should know the answer to this one, but CRS has me scrambled.

I'm trying to add a new 20g maxtor to "my rig" Two IBM 20's in raid, new maxtor on prime master, cdrw on prime slave and dvd on secondary in slave.

Prep'g new maxtor for dual boot to w2k. 98se on raid. When I went to restart the rig, it would only see the new maxtor, and not the raid drives. Unplug the new maxtor, naturally the raid pair come back up on reboot.

This is my first raid rig.............where did I miss configuring the drives.

In the BIOS will it let ya select a boot from the RAID/SCSI 1st before the Main IDE channel? :?:
