  • GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R overclock settings

Ok i have a GA-EP45-UD3R motherboard Q6600 Core 2 Quad, OCZ DDR2 1066 RAM, Zotac GTS 250 graphics card. I have attempted an overclock of 2.66GHz but fail prime every time. My CPU overheating is not the case I have that monitored.

Could someone please help me with a solid overclock between 2.66GHz and 3.2GHz with RAM as close to 1066 as possible. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

        Re: GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R overclock settings

That ram does not look to have very good timings or reviews, so I hope you have tested each stick at stock manually set settings one by one with Memtest86+ to be sure it is in working order, if not please do >>
Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

Here is what I would advise per your given settings >>

If you would like something with ram closer to 1066 let me know and I will advise, I just gave these because I thought you may want to get 2.6 going first

Thanks for the advice and your help.

With 8x multiplier and 333Mhz and the rest of your advised settings I got prime to run stably. Should I try and run prime again only with Memory multiplier at 3.20B instead of the 3.00A I am currently running at?

Ya, if you want you can for sure. Nice to see that went over smooth for you.

You may need to adjust MCH Voltage and or tRD depending on what you are using now though
