Hi, I was just given a PIII 450 cpu, and was wondering what mobo would be good for surfing, MS Office, light gaming (can you tell it is for the wife?) Any help would be appreciated.
Thanx
Try and look for a Intel 440BX based board, since they are old they may be hard to find. If not a board based on the Intel 815E would be the go, or 815EP if you want onboard graphics.

A slot 1 i815 may also be very to find since only a couple were ever produced....i440BX is your best bet, even though it only supports 2xAGP.
I've been happy with my 3 yr. old Epox BX3...especially since i took out the secc PIII 500 & replace it with a Celeron900/slotket running at 1200MHz
It certainly does Tweak so long as the 512MB memory limit is ok and the PIII ain't a slot 1 job though there are some boards around that will take either. :smokin:
