  • PCI-X Question

Today I picked up a Dual Xeon processor computer for free, it was in storage somewhere and not being used. The motherboard has 8 slots: 1 AGP, 5 PCI, 1 PCI-X, and 1 EISA. My question is, I have never had any experience with PCI-X, ,and I was wondering what it is good for and what I might use it for?

    Re: PCI-X Question

Basically, it's main use is for devices that require a large amount of bandwidth. You can use it for a SATA or SCSI controller card or a RAID card.

Oh-okay. Yeah my computer already has twin SCSI controllers, 1 native. Thanks for the quick response!
