Dumb newbie question.....

Ok, excuse the ignorance please, but this is the first time I've built a "performance" system, and first time I've used dual channel memory. Which memory sockets on the mobo does it use? I've got a lanparty NF II Ultra, got DIMM 1 and 2 close together, and DIMM 3 spaced off a bit, is it 1 and 3? or 1 and 2? or 2 and 3? the mobo book doesn't say (doesn't explain much actually), and the memory will be showing up any day now....
