Brand new member here, doing some research on upgrading my puter and hoping for some input on what NOT to do/buy.
I have already bought this mobo and thinking of installing a Athlon 2800+ (Barton) cpu and 512 mb ram, and newer Geforce card.
The machine is currently Asus A7V266E with Athlon 1700+ and 256 mb ram. vid card is Nvidia GeForce2 MX/MX400. Running Windows XP home. It has worked like a dream for 2 years.
My main use is for online gaming. I know very little about building an upgrade, cept one I did couple of years ago. Would even appreciate any websites that could help me do it right. I'm a firm believer in taking my time (winter project).
