  • ecs k7s5a pro cpu list?

    I can get one of these boards new for next to nothing: ECS K7S5APro SIS735S Mainboard, 4xAGP, 2DDR2100, 2D133, 5P, 2CH Audio, 10/100Lan, USB2.0, 266FSB

I am not too familiar with modern amd. My understanding is that palamino is up to xp2400, which is what this board is supposed to take. So if it will fit one, it will almost be the cost of the cpu($130cdn for xp2400). I am on an extreme budget, so is it a good idea. It will fit 512 of my existing sd ram for now. Ideas?:rolleyes2

Palaminoes on run up to XP2100 then Thoroughbreds kick in but that mobo is one POS and ya'd be much better off spendin' a few extra dollars on a better one (VIA or nVIDIA based) plus why do ya want to strangle an XP Athlon with a memory that can only supply the CPU with half of its required bandwidth?
