  • Battery holder repairs

    Hello everybody.

I wasn't sure who to email about this question so I finally decided to add it here. I really hope you can help me.

The thing is, as you may have guessed from the
subject, is that my Batter holder on the motherboard
is damaged. The metal clip that holds the battery in
place has broken off and therefore my battery keeps
falling out unless I use something to stick it down.
Do you know of a way where I can replace this or buy a
complete new battery holder without having to use
sneaky tricks to hold it down or without having to
    replace the motherboard.

    Thanks for any help!
    Jeff

P.S. At the moment I'm using 'Blue Tact' to hold it
down although it's very annoying and it just looks
    plain horrible.

if all else fails, you could always try soldering the battery to the board(although you might want to get a new battery to solder on, one that isnt a button cell).
