I am currently gathering parts to build a computer and am deciding either to get the Asus a7n8x mobo or the soultek SL-75MRN-L. The price doesn't matter, I just want to know wich is the better performer and if price was important if it would make any difference to get the soultek.
No announcement yet.
Asus A7n8x or soltek SL-75MRN-L

Stick with the ASUS. You will have a lot more help on the boards since A LOT of people have the ASUS and not many have the soltek.
I have used a lot of soltek board, especially when I lived in Tokyo. They are good boards too.
You will just have better help and it already a proven board.

I have about 5 sites that have some killer boot/shutdown/logon logos if you want me to post em'.
I haven't done the bootlogo yet, although ASUS has that program that helps you do it.
One of the sites has a program that alternates between all of your logos if you want too, its pretty cool. You also don't have to go into the registry, it is shareware and does it for you. Actually I think it is freeware. It is cool as heck though.
Anyway, if you guys are interested, I can post em'
I have a logon, thats all right now. It is cool, alot better than the reg. old XP screen.

That Soltek board has integrated video, which will bump up the cost, especially if you don't need it. Instead, look out for the 75-FRN2-L board, which is the same, minus the onboard video.
I recently got the improved model Soltek board to that one, and haven't looked back since.

Here is the SITE. It never really had a site before. But I just read a little on it and the guy said he finally made a site for it. Looks like the program is getting a little more attention then he expected.
Anyway, hope you like it.

Here are just a few fun sites that I learned a lot from. They have reg tweaks and stuff, above and beyond how to do the logons, boot screens, ect.

Oh, I don't think I've seen anything on that.
Thats pretty cool.
I would of loved to have that when I had my packard bell PII 266, that screen was on there forever it seemed like.
No its so fast I can't even read what anything says, and I forget what it takes to stop it, so you can read it, like alt + f2 or something.
What did you put in its place?
