  • Mem Timing Vars

With Ram timings, I've heard sequences like 2,2,2,5 or 2,3,2,6.

I've got some Corsair doing 2.5,3,3,7. I just wanna know which numbers I should be trying to get down, and which I should be bumpin up?

Corsair reccommend 2,3,3,6 - But I hear thats not it's true potential....

ok here is how the numbers are organised:

    RAM Timings Example - 2-3-2-6

    2 - CAS Latency
    3 - RAS to CAS
    2 - RAS Precharge
    6 - Active to Precharge

you dont really need to know what it all means.
its the delays before reads and writes take place on the memory.
all you need to know is lower is better.

ok, thanks. the lower the cas latency the better.
