AOL dialup and Wireless usb adapter

I have 2 computers on my network. 1 is running windows 98se and has dialup internet access through aol and a wireless usb adapter. My other computer is running windows xp and the wireless router attached. I'm trying to share my dialup aol with both computers. The problem is aol will not work with my usb adapter plugged in for some reason. The connection dies after being connected for a few seconds. Is there any way to correct this problem so I can share my internet access?
