      Actually, that IP range is reserved for future use by IANA (the assigning body for IP addresses). Using that IP on the Internet is illegal, and can land you in BIG ****!!! :eek:

          in all reality, who designs their network around IP addys that'll "resolve quicker"

          can u explain wot it is in the way TCPIP works that makes these IPs quicker to understand than others?

            Sounds like a load of bollocks to me! If you're going to be that worried about speed, why not use UDP instead of TCP?

                  You're probably right Beefy, plus the fact it isn't a click in the box kind of option like TCP is. It would be able to give a bit of a kick in the arse for speed in a switched network environment though.
