  • CPU Usage

While i was transfering a file from d , to c desktop, (same harddrive) I noticed watching the cpu usage in windows task manager, was only about 2%.

Is this fine? Could it be a ram issue, I have no idea...

Yes. What's the issue? What does it have to do with overclocking (thread moved, BTW)?

Sorry should of thought of where It should be posted...

Well i'm not to sure if theres an issue, but it took about 6 minutes to move the one movie file. And the cpu usage was only at about 3%... thats not an issue?

        Re: CPU Usage

No. Modern hard drives have what could be called a small processor built onto the control board. This allows them to do their job without tasking the processor. That is why many older HDD reviews usually included the CPU usage as one of the test criteria, but it isn't as common today as it isn't much an issue anymore.
