  • Using AGP 3.0 mobo with an older AGP vid card

i have a MSI GNB MAX that i want to install a Diamond Viper 770 32MB AGP card in. The card is AGP 4x, so I am assuming that is compatable with this board. Before i buy the card i would like to make sure it will fit the AGP slot.

    AGP 1.0 1x or 2x 3.3 V
    AGP 2.0 2x 04 4x 1.5V
    AGP 3.0 4x or 8x 0.8V

Is that right? I once tried an older AGP card on this mobo and the card didn't fit the slot. So are the AGP 1.0 versions a different type of slot size?

Is this thread in the wrong forum?
The card i want to add is a Viper 770. it has 32MB and is AGP 4x. I have read that it supports AGP 1x or 2x. does this mean the voltage of slot connector?
