  • "IDE 2 no 80 conductor connected"

Hey guys, ive got an issue.

I was rearranging my power cables around to help with the airflow but when i turned on my computer in the POST screen it says "IDE 2 no 80 conductor connected." And it sets my settings to fail safe. Everything boots up but it wont boot if i try to run it at my OC levels. What did i do?? What does "IDE 2 no 80 conductor connected" mean??

    thanks!

drives with ATA66/100/133 work better on the 80wire cable.
You can tell the difference between regulare 40wire and 80wire by looking at them. 40wire one looks same wire size as floppy. 80 wire one has them a lot smaller.
Looks like something in your system will run better with 80wire cable.
