  • Speaker/Sound Problem...

My speakers are making this high frequency buzz whenever its idle, or not playing any sounds...It goes away when I play a game or play anything that utilizes sound. Never had this problem until I upgrade the nForce2 drivers from the nividia website. These drivers are supposedly newer than my old ones..
Does anyone know what the problem may be? I have a 2 piece Platinum JBL speakers which are connected to monitor for power.

yes it was the v3.13 off the nvidia website that gave me the problems. I rolled back to the v1.16 driver pack from the asus manufacturer website. Where did you get the v2.03?

Well, I went out to buy a new set of speakers (Logitech Z-640) and the problem still remains, so it definitely has nothing to do with the speakers. I rolled the drivers back and the problem still remains. I've upgraded alot of hardware such as memory and video card and changed alot of drivers around since my last fresh format. I've also noticed one pattern, and it's whenever I move the mouse, I hear sratchy noises above the buzzing thats going on already. Anyone have this problem with the A7N8X-Deluxe Board? Only thing I can think of to do is to format and reinstall the OS, should I?

Funny, I hava the same problem, though I use the a7v8x motherboard with the VIA chipset, though the same symptoms are audible. Muting line-in only removes just above nothing for me, though muting the cd-rom audio helps but a little, while muting any audio coming from it at the same time. I don't know if this has to do with being built-in to the motherboard or what, but it sure as heck bothers me, especially with it being more audible with the use of headphones as I am forced to use do to close quarters.

I got the AudioExcel (Chaintech) FamilyEnvy 24PT soundcard, it works fine, though I have no back speakers...what do the cords for the Z_640 stand for anyways? Anyone know?
