I have a ATI 9800 pro video card and this problem happened on my old ATI 8500 before and as I am playing a game the screen just turns off and I have to restart? I did what some other people said like turn off VPU settings and I turned off fast right but that did not help and it does it quite often need some help.

what are your system temps?
how often does thing happen?
try playing the games in the least resolutions and see if that helps.

Well I fixed it I just put XP back on my system (restall) and it seems to work so something musted have been messed up in the reg... and by the way I have a LCD so hitting it hard might break it lol.Been a member way to long lol ;)
