pc problem when turning it on

When ever I go to turn on my computer it turns on but all my LEDS stay lit up inclueding my cd-rom drives. The thing is, my monitor does not click on and my rom drives do not open. I tried a different power supply so i was wondering if it could be my motherboard or my cpu. I need to get it fixed. i built my own computer so i could use the help.

Usually when drive lights stay on the IDE cables are fitted the wrong way but does the thing beep and if so what combination? :?:

Yes. It's definitely the order you have your IDE cables, even the floppy drive can cause this "lock up". Try checking the slave-master order on each device and disconnect the floppy . The same thing happened to me so I've been there. :smokin:

If you have built in video, make sure a stick of ram is in DIMM1.
