Hi all
I was wondering if anyone has any ideas why a Creative 5.1 Live PCI sound card will not work with the Gigabyte GA-7VAX.
With the card installed and all the drivers loaded, the only sound which come out is very quiet and even then then all you get is bang and hisses.
I have tried disabling the onboard sound and removed every other piece of hardware to check if there is a compatibility problem with some other hardware, but the conclusion that I keep coming back to is that it must be the motherboard.
I have updated the BIOS to the latest version provided by Gigabyte but it still doesn't work. I have also checked the card in another machine and it works fine.
This has really got me stumped, so any help that anyone can provide would be much appreciated.
