ATI 64 bit drivers, 5770 & windows 7 installation problems

Hi folks

Need some knowledgeable person/people to help out. I cannot get 64 bit ATI drivers to install on the 64 bit version of windows 7. So far I have downloaded and tried versions 9-10, 10-2, 10-10, 11-4 & 11-5. The catalyst manager installs each time and yet the drivers never do, this is becoming ultra frustrated and have yet to find a solution.


Couple of hours after posting, all problems are solved. How this happened is beyond me, so have no answer for anyone else having the same trouble, 7 days of annoyance gone!

Hi,so you installed them in the end? I've never had issues installing 32bit and 64bit,sometimes you might get drivers left behind causing installation problems,best way is to download driver sweeper boot up into safe mode and delete all ATI files then boot up normally and do fresh ATI install,this goes for NVIDIA drivers too

Yes they did install. until this happened the catalyst control centre would install every time, just not the vga driver - why this was is beyond me and I had never encountered any issue with 32bit. Anyhow, all good now
