Re: Quick Review: NAVIGON 1400 GPS

This one looks like a nice unit and I'm sure it works just fine in other parts of the world. I do ,however, have a "heads up" for North Americans thinking about purchasing one. I recently purchased a Navigon GPS here in Canada and quickly found out that in North America they are known as Navigone in some circles due to the fact that they have not supplied new North American maps in several years. To be fair the unit I purchased was on sale at a very decent price and it turns out that although it was sold as a new, unopened GPS at a reputable department store the model is three years old. Not really complaining as I guess I got what I paid for and it does work for most areas although the directions it tries to direct me on are sometimes a bit strange it does work.
