Wiggo: Unlike New Zealand, England has someone who can kick the ball, this will impact on the game. Either team can win on the day, but only one will. There's one London cabbie who will be praying it's Australia. Why, because he stands to collect nearly $250,000 (AUS) if they do.

Well actually yes the poms did win but we pushed them almost right to the end of 20 mins of extra time and was very close to bein' another extra 10mins (wasn't as easy as the BBC made out).

actually they say that England scored win in between 99th or 100th minute. i don't know how long the game is for but there was nothing after it so i guess both teams pushed till the end. isn't it?

Generally 2 x 40min halves but an extra 2 x 10min halves were added due to the scores bein' locked and yes England only won in the dyin' sec's of that last 10min half. As I said it was very close to another extra 10mins.

CLOSE!!!! England dominated the second half and should have had aty least another three tries. :D oh well it doesn't matter if you win by a point or 100 winning's winning:thumb:

Oh well at least we showed the poms how to play rugby league with a 3-0 whitewash in the footy ashes even though the poms were in front in the last half and we had to contend against a one sided ref as well. :D

All I can say is you Aussies don't have the golden boot of Wilkinson. (mind you credit goes to the rest of the England team as well).

Yes history will tell ENGLAND won the world cup, not that Australia pushed them to the final kick of the game.

Wiggo: I've been reading a few articles about rugby in New Zealand, seems support for the sport is dying quite quickly now, crisis is a word being mentioned quite a lot. Whilst I love the game (started playing at 5yrs of age), I don't see the point of NZ continuing to field what is quickly becoming a "second class" side.

New zealand were once a great team and i have full faith that if they keep with it they will once again be great:thumb:
