If you had read the forum, you would have noticed that attached pics was down when i started this thread - hence Wiggo's post somewhere up there. Only now have i posted because that option came back.
And of course you would beat me, you have a mustang with a V8 - normally good competition) but you just said on another thread that you were gonna use forced air induction - whipple i think.
Mine is stock, wait till i get the head rebuilt and the intake, exhaust, chip, cam, headers, 9" wide C2 whels in the back, short throw shift kit, and we race for ****s and giggles....
....wait. I just saw the mustang. Is that an svt or just a regular V8? What have you done to it?
Sadly enough, if that is a stock Stang, i would beat you. I've done it to other stang like yours before, as well as the new V6 and V8 (NOT THE SVT, THEY GOT ME) Have fun with the whipple thou, that would give you the edge.
OK, you posted just before me, now i see the engine.
Yeah, you'd prolly win.
---------------------------
and i read your car page, you'd win.... for now.
No, you don't beat 99+ GT's (V8's). they run 245 rwhp from the factory. and the Cobras "SVT'S" run close to 300. at the wheels. When I get back from saudi i will be running around 360 RWHP....and then there is the head/intake swap, cam, etc. cars are fun...
Three days after i bought the car i raced a 99+ GT (i didnt know the guy, but i know the bodystyle) and i won. It didnt look like he was shifting, so i assume it was an automatic. And the rear of the car said GT, and there were two extruding tailpipes like what the factory gives those cars. I won. Now either he had a 6 and spent a good deal of money to make it look exactly like a GT, or it was a GT. If i ever see him again i'll ask just for you, but i tend to believe it was a GT. And since i timed myself with my mechanics computer in a 0-60 run at 6.64 i also think i won. Im not sure what mustangs do thou.
Oh, and none of the cars you mentioned are pushing that many horsies to the Rear Wheels. 99% of every Hp quote you have ever heard has been at the flywheel. The new Mustangs push out 260 and over 300 at the flywheel. Not the rear wheels. A stock GT will push only 210 at the wheels. You will also be pushing 360 at the flywheel. Go do a dyno and ask the guy doing it what the difference is, and exactly what your car does. He'll tell you the same thing i did.
