  • No wonder it was leaking..

    This is the waterpump from my Volvo 740 1986. I all of a sudden discovered water dripping from underneath the engine and that the engine was running hot, I dismounted the water pump from the engineblock and discovered all the rust that had been eating the metal over the years.

    Whats finally killed it though was the water penetrating into the bearing making it break down really fast. I then went and bought a new pump with all gaskets, ($25 orginal part) mounted it & filled up the engine with 9 litres of glycol/water and now shes spinning again. :)
