my personal e-mail hardly ever gets hit and it is more public than my work e-mail that gets hit like five to six times a week.

Between news and my two addresses through TweakTown, there is hardly a day goes by when I don't get the little pop-up window saying that an attachment is infected with something or other. Thank goodness for effective virus protection and a little common sense.

Speaking of which... I need to send off for my rebate for the latest AV program that I bought. :)

Yeah all of us admin's and IT's at work try and make sure no one opens the no no's but every once and awhile someone sneaks past us. This one time about a month ago a older woman that works in the marketing department sent a picture of her grandson infected with a virus to everyone in our employee address book. This crossed four states and about 20 servers just in our company network.

I'd get virus and worm emails like this at least 20 times a day...

                  I've had exactly 3 infected e-mails ever.
All were avoided, thanks to tech news and postings such as this.

                  Thanks folks!:thumb:

I've had plenty of infected emails, but never actually got infected with any virus.

a little common sense is all you really need :D

That's exactly why I depend on tech news and posts such as this one.:fly:

I get at least half a dozen virus infected emails every day through my TweakTown account, damn those SirCam clones that harvest email addresses through Temporary Internet Files :flames:

Someone send me a virus dammit!! In 7 yrs of computing, I have never not even once come close to getting a virus! I don't use AV programs cos all they do is suck system resources and slow down any kinda file transfers (floppies data transfers are slow enough as it is!) and schedule their programs to run at extremely inconvienent times.

The closest thing to one would be the tons and tons of fake virus warnings that I get sent!

My mail server lies behind a university IT firewall, that prides themselves on their IT services, so I think the chances of a virii infecting my system is slim.

I extend my sincere offer to anyone. Please, send me a virus -
