Hmmm, when I was at that stage I was able to pick up quite a bit from the How-To's & Tutorials available at ZDNet and at CNet.
I'm really not sure what is available there nowadays though.
However, I can reccomend highly the TechTV website.
In particular the Call For Help and The Screensavers sites.
At those 2 sites, I guarantee you'll find lots of how-to's, tweaks, troubleshooting, news, etc. Be sure to check those shownotes too.(you can even sign up to have the shownotes sent to you via email)
Man I love TechTV -- television about technology -- 24/7:thumb: (except for a bit of paid-programming in the wee hours of the morning)
You Aussies ought to gang up on your cable/sattelite providers and see about getting it. I have seen callers on the shows from Europe, Phillipines, Korea, India, etc.
I don't know of a good reason you can't have it in OZ, just need to let them know there is market for it.
But for now, you do at least have the website -- check it out!
(I had to make do with just the website 2+ years before my sattelite provider carried it) But I survived it:)The reason a diamond shines so brightly is because it has many facets which reflect light.

I'm not trying to underestimate your abilities SS, but if you truly know nothing about computers, that may be a bit of the "deep end of the pool" to learn how to swim.
I do admire you for your enthusiasm though:thumb:
Check those TechTV links I gave you above, there is a lot to be learned there, I assure you.The reason a diamond shines so brightly is because it has many facets which reflect light.
