When i was abou two, my mother was out on the balcony getting ready for work, she saw HUGE tornado. She ran, got me up from my nap, grabed several water bottles, and ran for the basement.
Never touched the ground, but ripped up several trees.went right over our apartment.

We get a lot of waterspouts in Moreton Bay, they form over Moreton Island and race down the sand dunes (they are over 500m tall in places), pretty funny when they hit a boat, if you don't get the hatch down in time all the water gets in the boat

Harmless though, once they hit the boat they stop.

Dry season where I live. But during the raining season the thunder sounds like it is a long side of you. Takes some getting used to. :fish:
