I disabled that feature in my account a very long time ago as I didn't want many tons of emails daily.

That's more of an online Mother-In-Law than an ISP:confused:

But, yeah I suppose the TT mailer works, as no one else has made any comments to indicate otherwise.

Check that User CP and make sure your settings are appropriate.
